The Dyslexia.tech Blueprint

Our vision for a new way to understand and explore assistive technology. Using the potential of artificial intelligence and a needs-based understanding of dyslexia and neurodiversity, the Blueprint aims to help people explore relevant assistive technology tools and useful supporting information.

It is a future project. Join the waitlist to hear about its development and when it becomes available.

Be among the first to try it

Instead of asking "Which product do you want?", the Blueprint starts with "What am I finding difficult?" or "What would I like to do more easily?"

How it will work

From your need to tools worth exploring

  1. What you want to doStart with the task you are trying to do.
  2. Where the barrier isSay where you find it difficult.
  3. Strategies and technology typesSee approaches and types of technology that may help.
  4. Tools to exploreExplore tools and supporting information, then choose for yourself.

What it will look at

Built around real needs and tasks

The Blueprint builds on our earlier research and the Cognitive Database idea: connecting cognitive challenges, daily tasks, technology types and possible tools.

  • Reading and comprehension
  • Writing and spelling
  • Speech and listening
  • Planning and ideas
  • Working memory
  • Organisation and time
  • Focus and attention
  • Communication

Our promises

Honest about what it is and is not

  • It will not diagnose. It supports exploration and informed choices.
  • No single "best" tool. The same technology may suit one person and not another.
  • AI with limits. We will be clear about what AI suggestions can and cannot tell you.
  • People stay in charge. Human judgement and your own choice come first.
  • Careful with your information. Any sensitive personal information will be handled with care.
